Education
From 1989 to 1994, Suren Antonyan studied at and graduated from the Faculty of Law of Yerevan State University.
Professional Experience
1994-1995 – Held the position of Specialist in the Operations and Document Inspection Division of the Legal Department at the Central Bank of Armenia.
1995-1996 – Head of the Banking Legislation Development and Methodology Division of the Legal Department at the Central Bank of Armenia.
1996 – Served as a Specialist-Lawyer in the Banking Methodology Division of the Supervision, Regulation, and Licensing Department of the Central Bank of Armenia.
1996-1997 – Head of the Department for Registration of Sectoral Normative Acts at the Legislation Department of the Ministry of Justice of Armenia.
1997-1998 – Deputy Head of the Legislation Issues Department at the Ministry of Justice of Armenia.
1998-1999 – Head of the Personnel and Special Works Department of the Ministry of Justice of Armenia.
1999-2004 – Served as a Judge at the Civil Court of Appeals of Armenia.
2004-2008 – Judge at the Civil Chamber of the Court of Cassation of Armenia.
2008-2009 – President of the Northern Civil Court.
2009 – By the decree of the President of Armenia on January 15, 2009, was appointed as a Judge of the Civil and Administrative Chamber of the Court of Cassation of Armenia, serving until January 2023.
Awarded the Mkhitar Gosh Medal.
Suren Antonyan specializes in civil, labor, family, and tax law of Armenia, as well as civil and administrative litigation and the Law on Confiscation of Property of Illicit Origin of Armenia.
Provides legal expertise and opinions in all the mentioned fields.
